Now that the New Year is upon us and Christmas is over, it is all about getting through the winter so that you can get to Spring. Driving in the snow is something that a lot of people have to do every single day in the winter and I can tell you for sure that it is not easy. One thing that you need to make sure that you do though is go slow. Slowing down even if it is just to the speed limit can do wonders and make you that much safer.

You also want to make sure that you keep your windshield clean as well as keep your lights on, as that is something that will alert other drivers.

I can honestly tell you that in this day and age, distracted drivers are what you constantly see on the road lately. If you are a person who is constantly texting, constantly on the phone and constantly needing to update your status on Facebook, then this post is for you.

According to the many, many reports out there, I can tell you that if you are constantly texting or on the phone when you are driving, you are going to be about 23 percent higher risk to get into an accident.

Whenever you are texting or on the phone when you are driving – just remember that when you are splitting your attention, you are at a higher risk.
