Exploring the 2010 Lotus Evora

Lotus No Comments »

lotusThe 2010 Lotus Evora — doesn’t it look luxurious? Of course, recent reviews say that the back seats leave something to be desired, but check out this car — can you really expect much else? And more to the point, does it really matter in this case?

It is bigger, after all, than the Lotus Elise — a substantial amount, in fact. Its wheelbase alone is nearly an entire foot longer, and the car itself does have two foot over the other model.

The car has a stiffness that drivers really seem to appreciate once they get on the road. No matter how fast you push the 2010 Lotus Evora, it will hunker down and take it, remaining seemingly stable no matter how fast you go. It has hydraulically assisted steering which makes for great driving as well.

Of course, you can expect to pay for this kind of power when the Evora makes its debut in January of 2010. Its base price is an estimated seventy five grand.

The 2010 Kia Forte: It’s Cheap, Quick & Cute!

Kia No Comments »

phpthumb_generated_thumbnailjpgThe Kia brand is a brand that is known for making good, quick and cheap cars and that is exactly what the 2010 Kia Forte is all about.  For those of you that do not know, Kia is actually a parent company of Hyundai and since Kia cars have graced the automotive market, they have torn it up and have become some of the best cars of their class!  The new 2010 Kia Forte is just that and they have made it super stylish as well!

Some of the main competitors that the Kia Forte has against it include Honda Civics, Toyota Corolla’s and Mazda Mazda3’s and to be honest, the Kia Forte is one of the best of these cars.  No matter how you look at it, the Kia brand beats out its competitors on price, performance and just overall feel of the car itself … not to mention just how fashionable this car truly is.

Personally, I have not driven a Kia more than a test drive and the test drive alone had me hooked – and I’ve test driven a heck of a lot of cars in my day.  So in 2010 … check out Kia!

2010 Toyota Prius: Hot, Fast, and Green

Hybrid Cars, Toyota No Comments »

toyota-priusEver since it emerged on the market, the Toyota Prius has been a favorite among both car enthusiasts and environmental advocates. Drivers of all ages were almost immediately impressed by the idea, if not the car itself as well.

The 2010 Toyota Prius, however, has outdone itself, and will undoubtedly please those drivers who prefer the convenience and the power associated with traditional gasoline driven cars. Both the car’s gasoline engine and its electric engine have been powered up even higher, making for speedier acceleration, among other things.

With the competition among hybrid cars getting more and more intense, Toyota is seriously hoping that the new Prius will continue pleasing. After all, it looks like Toyota will be competing head to head with GM’s new Chevy Volt.

Hopefully, the 1.8 liter inline four cylinder engine purring under the new model’s hood will be enough to make it come out on top.

2010 Porsche Dazzles in Shanghai

Porsche No Comments »

porscheThe 2010 Porsche Panamerae recently made its debut in the Shanghai auto show, to overwhelmingly rave reviews.

Reviewers have hit the nail on the head when they mention that it seems rather like Porsche, however classic, has been sending debut cars down the line since dinosaurs roamed the earth. Fortunately, at long, long last, the renowned company has finally given us something new to enjoy. The sleek Panamerae promises to be as exotic and rich as its name. The four door car is unquestionably high performance.

At the debut, Porsche provided some pretty optimistic and self assured sales figures. Their hopes for the 2010 Panamerae are quite surprisingly high. In spite of the current car market, which is not doing so great on a world wide level — to say the very least — the long standing company expects to sell twenty thousand Panamerae each year. It is expected that a third of those twenty thousand cars will go to the United States — where they will be available in mid October of this year.

Toyota cuts price of Prius

Hybrid Cars, Toyota No Comments »

2009 toyota priusSources say that giant automobile company, Toyota Motor Corporation, is set to offer its hybrid Prius at a lower price. The said price cut back will start once Toyota starts the sale of their third-generation Prius. He more fuel-efficient Prius is scheduled to be available later this year.

Experts say that Toyota’s move of cutting back the price of Prius is actually a counter move for competitor Honda Motors newest Insight hybrid car. The latter’s hybrid vehicle is set to be released by February of this year.

According to a report in The Nikkei, Toyota plans to cut back the price of the current Prius because the new model would cost a lot more than its predecessor. According to the Japanese company, the new Prius will boast of a 1.8 liter engine-an innovation from the original 1.5 liter of the present model.

Subaru introduces Legacy Concept Car in Detroit

Subaru 2 Comments »

Subaru Legacy conceptAnother interesting revelation at the Detroit auto show is Subaru’s concept car for the 2010 Legacy model. The concept car at the Detroit show, with a few additional tweaks, is reportedly what the 2010 Legacy will look like when it goes on retail this summer.

In lieu of Legacy’s 20 years of production, Subaru car designers gave the 2010 model an even more distinctive front-end, large fender flares over all the wheels, headlamps with LED lights, and the large grille with the Subaru logo at the center. The 2010 model will also have a more aggressive look, with distinctive hood lines and slim fog lights, as compared to the current version of Legacy. The 2010 Legacy will also have wedge-shaped side rearview cameras to replace traditional mirrors, and character lines that run from the A-pillar to the rear tail lamps.
